ToothHugger Guide: Toothbrushes & Brushing

Bacteria naturally occurs in the mouth. When you eat, the sugar makes the bacteria grow and release acids in the process, which can dissolve the tooth structure and cause decay. The act of brushing removes bacterial plaque effectively.
Tips
- Floss first.
- Brush at least twice daily, preferably after each meal.
- Use soft toothbrush bristles.
- Electric toothbrushes are great, be careful not to push down too hard.
- Brush teeth and gums for two minutes.
- Be sure to brush the interface of the tooth and gums.
- Brush each tooth fives times if using regular toothbrush.
- Always close mouth halfway to clean the very back teeth.
- Eat breakfast first, then brush.
